Today in I.T. Mr. Kelley is giving us a work time, to work on our blogs, building, and trying to get us to finish as soon as we can. Our due date is the 13th of June.

We are also e-mailing Mr. Kelley, or giving him a list of merchandise we need to build our prototypes. We need to e-mail him so that he can go to the store and buy what we need.

Our finished products are due next Friday, and they will be at the Tech Day that is coming up and will be on Saturday, the day after it's due. Our next step will be to sell our products on eBay, or at least try to! Once we sell them on eBay we need to take them apart so we can ship them easier, and send a manual so that the buyer will know how to build it.

We have finished making a skateboard and are putting it in Sketch Up. We have to measure the skateboard, length and width. We have to use the tools in sketch up to create the skateboard.

Mr. Kelley showed us how to make 3D drawings this time in Google Sketch Up. We used tools such as Orbit, which you can use to view your drawing at a certain angle, Rectangle, which allows you to make a rectangular or square shape, Eraser, which erases any unwanted lines or work, and another one is Arc, which makes an arc on your drawing when you click and drag it to any length you want.

Class One: In our first class of IT Mr. Kelley talked to us about creating something and selling the finished product. He also talked about how to budget and plan ahead on our projects.

Class Two: Mr. Kelley showed us how to use First Class e-mail. He taught us how to attach a document, and how to reply a message back to him without sending it to everyone in the district.

During the next few weeks we will be prototyping our projects, researching, and blogging. We will be prototyping on Google Sketch Up and then once they have been approved, we will start building it. We will be researching online to look at work that is similar to our projects. We will be looking at the cost, and how much it is selling for. Mr. Kelley also wants to make sure that we try to come up with our own ideas, too. We will be blogging as much as possible, explaining and talking about what we are doing and how are projects are coming out. More posts and pictures will be coming eventually, so be sure to check back soon!
Also, we will be posting entries talking about what we are doing in I.T.!
